The Gutenberg's way

It had been around 6 years I have been using Blogger for this blog. A year back I bought krsh.in domain and linked my blog with it.

I was very interested in WordPress since the beginning of blog. But I kept using it as I found it more easy to use. But did not lose interest in WordPress. So finally I decided to switch to WordPress.

First I was planning to pay to link my domain with WordPress. After having a discussion with my long time online buddy Iftekhar from New York, I have decided to take his help to self host WordPress in his hosting storage as in my account. He is an expert with WordPress and a very kindest guy.

And now I have completely switched to WordPress with a self host, linked with iamkrish.dev. Hope now on I will press more words than I used to be.

Update:
iamkrish.dev is no longer hosted along with Iftekhar's website. I wanted to learn more about hosting a Wordpress website. So I purchased my own hosting and now my website is hosted by myself.

Thank you Iftekhar bhai for all the help.

3 more great tech minds to follow on Twitter

Recently, the tech lead at our kingslearning.in had shared an article for us to read. It is on how not to doom your app by very bad programming style, written by Shem Magnezi. I personally enjoyed it very much.

In the article he has shared some other articles, tweets and such. And one particular tweet by Zach Holman has caught my attention. It is very funny, about some interviewers asking irrelevant questions while interviewing.

Then there is one with a video and funny tweet. From another tweet I got redirected to Zach's website which has blown up my mind. It is so fucking simple. With cool photos, a nice eye catchy font & text size, a list of all posts and talks, an about me and a work related section. Awesome!!

I even liked the way he has "created" each post so attractive differently. Yes, not only written, created! And each post is so long that makes wonder, does this guy even take some rest. Because this a kind of work that need some serious time to think for creativity, context and content as well. Well, who knows? He might be getting some help. But still, awesome job with the website.

I wish.... I could too....

And yeah... I know Chet Haase from Android DevBytes videos on YouTube. He is funny.

A struggle of a programmer for a blog post

Here I am. Again. Sitting on my bed, laptop on my lap, staring at Blogger.com's blog post composing page and thinking... what to write.

Well, whenever I think of writing a blog post, the first question always comes in is not 'what'. It is 'why'. 'Why to write a blog when no one else, than to whom you are going to share the URL, is not going to read it? Most of them are not even going to click on it?'

Done and Archive are incompatible. Delete.. Delete..

If you ever want to delete a G-email from its notification itself in your Android phone (may be in iPhone, too), set 'Delete' as a default action instead of 'Archive' in Gmail app and 'Bin', instead of 'Done' in Inbox app.

Gmail notification

Email deleted

Inbox notification
At present, no undo for Inbox app

Steps!!?

Find it yourself. It's there in settings.

Well, if you are a dummy...

Being alive - Take life as it comes!?

Not every time. You cannot just sit back and take whatever comes to you. If do so, it is as well as death. Don't get me wrong. It's not death. Just a kind of. But there is no point in living as so. Life is about everything else but death.

Being Alive

I frequently forget what is going on in my head. I know there are so many things but in reality sometime do not remember exactly what were there earlier. There would be very different things but would have no idea how to deal with them though I had planned for them sometime in the past. Well, this also helps me to rethink about stuffs that really matters and affects my life. And… I like to rethink.
