A Gift that twinkles

Tomorrow, 24 Oct 2010 the day on I'm turning to 22. I was expecting this birthday for a month, don't know why. May be because I've not celebrated two previous birthdays. Actually, I don't like to celebrate on such days.

But still remember the 19th one in 2007. I was in Chinmaya Mission College , Palakkad for 2nd year BCom. It was a Wednesday. I had to get picked up by Avis (Siva) on his bike for college. But that day he and other friends Dada (Saris), Guddie (Ganesh) and Ichayan (Robin) planned to took me to Malampuzha Dam for a little celebration. It was surprise for me. We cut the cake and enjoyed that day so much.
This time it has another specialty. My sister Rasmy wished me with extraordinary gift that twinkles just like her. But only when mobile phone get a call in. It is a little cute dolphin type mobile stand. In it there is a electronic receiver which does blink as the mobile phone radio activity touch it. It filled with water and some seashells colored violet and some greenish stuffs. As the that electronic blinks the whole thing get twinkle as shown in video below.

Thanks to Rasmy for giving me such wonderful gift. Lets hope it will twinkles in my life forever.

Welcome back Pidgin

Pidgin was my favorite software for chat because it supports multiple supports. I used to login my all accounts on Pidgin around 3-4 months before. Since I got Digsby I never look installed Pidgin again. Digsby is very different and much featured IM software. Even then many time tried to use Pidgin did not satisfied because some more features are missing than Digsby.

Still I like Pidgin. So as its latest verion 2.7.4 is released, now I decided to try it at least for 1 week. This release has some bug fixes which were in 2.7.3.

If you wish to use Pidgin also download GTK+ Run Environment from here and install it before installing Pidgin.

Now its Google Chrome 7

Last day Firefox just popup with new version and today Google Chrome jumps up to new number, 7. According to some internet articles this upgrade was released yesterday itself.

Well, the new version has something new to show. This release is the huge number of bug fixes — hundreds have been fixed, though hundreds are still has to be fixed and some new HTML5 support. Google Chrome 7 is the first browser in implementing the HTML5 parser in a release version. Another new feature in Chrome 7 is directory upload support. So soon we will be able to upload the entire collection of image at once instead of selecting them one at a time. And support for the HTML5 File API, which allows sites and web apps to read the content of local files.

As the HTML5 is on its way, all giant browsers are competing with each other to bring HTML5 implementation with new features in their browsers. Google Chrome is now 7. Firefox moving towards 4 and Opera to 11.

All we can do is browse the web.

Enthiran (The Robot)

Last day me and my friends Shajil and Mishal went out for Enthiran (The Robot) in Ramu Cine House at Chunnambuthara. This movie theater was closed for around two years since its owner expired. Now its opened few months before for renewal and still it is in progress. The worse thing is that this one does not have A/C yet. So hot in there blogger-emoticon.blogspot.com. As we had fan over up our seat it felt better. Here at our town there are four other theater situated near by near. In which three running Enthiran. The movie is superb, I liked it very much. This is the first film in Indian Cinema history which utilized stunning animations and visual effects sequences with eye clear perfection. A different Rajinikant movie ever made by S. Shankar. In his all films Shankar has used advanced visual effects and animations but mostly in songs sequences. Again A. R. Rahman brought a heart touching music waves in Enthiran. Well, personally I did not liked Enthiran's songs so much as in Shankar and A. R. Rahman's Mudhalvan, Boys and Roja. But still they are good as per story lines. Film story is good. However some story sequences are picked from some Hollywood movies. The moral of story is that even if future robots get thinking power, would be they accepted in society as a human being. At conclusion, even the movie does have a Hollywood touch it is a great achievement for Indian Film industry. May be this would inspire more people to bring out much better movies with reality filled scenes. After Enthiran excitement now I was behind Ubuntu 10.10. Today I've downloaded Ubuntu 10.10 iso file. Will check it tomorrow from USB Flash drive booting. Because it would much more faster than booting from CD. Its already 9nd half and time hurry up!to close father's office. After a long time I'm leaving to home at this time as all works have got completed. Or it will take one and half hour more. Tomorrow I'll be in Ubuntu excitement. Till then good night folks... wave

A little compliment

Its my hobby to help others in any matter. Whether I can solve it or not. If I can, it would be and extra practice and if I can't it would be a new learning. May be this attitude helped me in many occasions and sometimes it become a kind of headache. But still I would like to help them 'cause it gives me pleasure and I would get something new to learn. At office, my colleagues comes to me for help and I always like to. Even today helped my colleague and my dear Rakhi Sister, Rasmy, to save a Microsoft Publisher (2007 version) file as PDF file. She was trying for hours. I just installed Save As PDF and XPS add-in and the magic is done. It took only less than 2 min. After sometime Rasmy came back with a little announcement that our Corporate Head Mr. Thomas Mathew has impressed with this and decided to give me a little compliment. This was very unexpected. Thanks to all for appreciation, especially to Thomas Sir. So happy that others are happy with me happy . And I would be here to help anyone as long as this life goes on. thumbs up
