No more Windows in my Lenovo G570

1 year before I waved good bye to Windows. Until this day I am still happy with that decision. The only thing was left of Windows in my laptop was its logo on Super/Meta key.

If you are not familiar with GNU/Linux, first you may wonder, at least for a little while, 'what is Super or Meta key'. Then if you think, you will understand that there is only one key on keyboards which has a Windows logo on it. Yes dear friends, we call it Super or Meta key in wonderland of GNU/Linux. No idea about other platforms.

Fading out tracks in Rhythmbox

Ever wanted to fade out the tracks when you change and pause the songs in Rhythmbox, similar to Clementine and Winamp. Check out the steps below:
  1. In Rhythmbox Edit > Preferences > Playback.
  2. Enable Crossfade between tracks.
  3. Set Crossfade Duration at least to 1 second.

Now on you will feel smooth fade while changing and pausing/playing back the tracks.

Upgrade Time

Last day I've downloaded the Ubuntu 11.10 64Bit CD Image. But I did not get time to work on it untill this time. As I'm free now, going to upgrade my Ubuntu. USB Startup Disk is now ready. Some important files have backed up.

So... Lets Rollll......
